FRIDAY OF THE SIXTH WEEK OF EASTER

Jesus said to his disciples: "Amen, amen, I say to you, you will weep and mourn, while the world rejoices; you will grieve, but your grief will become joy. When a woman is in labor, she is in anguish because her hour has arrived; but when she has given birth to a child, she no longer remembers the pain because of her joy that a child has been born into the world. So you also are now in anguish. But I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you. Amen, amen, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you."

REFLECTION:

Jesus left instructions to the apostles that they were to wait for the Holy Spirit, who was the gift of the Father. As Jesus prepared the apostles he made it quite clear that the source of the apostles' strength was the Holy Spirit. It was this same Holy Spirit that would guide the new church in the way of truth. It was by the power of God, that the gospel would spread, not by human strength, nor human wisdom.

God allows suffering, often to help us grow stronger and become more faithful to him. We will definitely see the light of day if we trust Him and keep doing His will.

We will find peace and happiness as long as we trust God . No one can take away our joy, just as no one can take away our love for God .

PRAYER: Love is a Light That Enlightens the Soul

God Bless
