The Gospel according to Luke (LK 8:19-21)

The mother of Jesus and his brothers came to him but were unable to join him because of the crowd. He was told, "Your mother and your brothers are standing outside and they wish to see you." He said to them in reply, "My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and act on it."

Reflection

Mother Mary is Jesus' mother and when she said "yes" to God she was part of His plan for the salvation of us all. His apostles who heard the word of God acted on it and became great witnesses and saints which countless of people pray for their intercession.

Do you hear the word of God and act on it?

Would you be able to call yourself a brother or sister of Christ?

When you say "yes" to God's will, imagine what He has in store for you.
