St Gerard entered the Redemptorists with great joy. He did the work of 4 men and did it well. He had a desire to be obedient.
He spent hours praying with Jesus. He was responsible for bringing many sinners back to God. When young, he would bring home bread. His mother sent his sister to follow him. At that time she saw him praying and then the child Jesus stepped down to play and would leave him bread for his family.
