REFLECTION
I am the way and the truth and the life, says the Lord; no one comes to the Father except through me.
The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is PAPA’s ultimate Patron. We are to devote our time and life to Him. The key to the work of a missionary is in the hand of God and that key is prayer. Jesus Christ owns the harvest that is produced and He needs laborers be sent out to reap. Jesus was there when people were sick, sinning, alone, ostracized and we are to be His servants, going to wherever He sends us. Most of us are surrounded by family and friends—family, coworkers, the young man at the cash register, the young child, waitress, postal worker and so many more. Everyone we meet is a circumstance created by God to go out and be His disciple. Priests have dedicated their lives to be the reapers of His harvest. We pray for their work.
St Margaret Mary Alacoque promoted the love for Jesus’ Sacred Heart. Catechism 2669 states that the prayer of the Church venerates and honors the Heart of Jesus which out of love for men, allowed His heart to be pierced by our sins. Jesus loves us with a human heart, our hearts should be like the heart of Jesus, filled with love for our Father and our neighbor.
In her teen years, Jesus appeared to St Margaret Mary crucified on the Cross. She entered the Order of the Sisters of the Visitation of Holy Mary. She was humble, simple, kind and patient. Jesus continued to appear to her, revealing the mysteries of His Sacred Heart. His Sacred Heart was burning in love with us and she spread that devotion.
Dying at the young age of 43, she said, “I need nothing but God and to lose myself in the heart of Jesus”.
Consecration Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
God Bless You
