REFLECTION

"It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit

that he should not see death

before he had seen the Christ of the Lord"

Simeon had the gift of internal knowledge received through the grace of the Holy Spirit. With strong faith, he spent his whole life preparing for one significant event.

The Holy Spirit placed deep within him the knowledge he would not die before seeing the Savior of the world. At last, as he saw Mary and Joseph, he could now hold the Savior. Though small, in fact, the Savior held Simeon.

Simeon is not a person we read about, say that is awesome and move on. He is the example of faith who hears, listens and acts on the gentle soft inspirations of the Holy Spirit.

Spending time in Adoration brings us to the silence of the moment, face to face with our Savior. As Jesus was presented to God, we daily present ourselves to Him, our atonement, desires, needs, thanksgiving, petitions, and love. Waiting in silence, one feels the inner stirrings of the Holy Spirit to become one with us, be our strength as we grow as prayer warriors.

We see Jesus the "light of the world" as we are filled with the favor of God. We sing in praise to our Father.

Rejoice and erupt in thanksgiving. Let His light shine in us so His light shines to all around us.

God Bless You
