"But blessed are your eyes, because they see,

and your ears, because they hear."

O Chicken of Little Faith was the name of the Bible camp presentation. My granddaughter was one of the chickens.

The day before she told me how two boys broke her Barbie House. Responding to her sad expression, I asked, "And what did you do?" Yea She responded with "I cried in my brain".

Jesus tells us about eyes that see and ears that hear. We are to be careful. How do we respond to the highs and lows of life ? How do we respond to bad things that happen to us?

The premise of the play was that Faith was disillusioned because of her fears, bullying, getting picked on in school, worries at home and more. So off she goes to grandma's farm and helps out with all the chores. But one day she forgets to close the chicken coop.

As expected Faith is frazzled because she cannot find the chickens that escaped the coop. Her phone battery is dead so she decided to talk with God and tell Him all her problems. And four big chickens arrive and help her out. They are the "Big 4" of the many that escaped and they talk to her about freedom and paradise and never wanting to go back to the coop. Along the way they meet a worm--a bookworm. And with his help they find quotes in the bible that help them along the way.

Faith is totally lost and has no clue where she is and how to get back to the farm. Eventually they find their way, going by the Pit of Fear, climb the Mountain of Expectations, and make their way through the Forest of the Unknown.

Faith keeps quoting Bible verses and wonders how did she know them. The book worm reminds her that she read it in the Bible and God's Word was in her brain. If Faith lived by faith she should not fear anything because the Word of God was always with her.

She regains her confidence in hope, living by faith and trust and not by sight.

We all go through these periods of doubt, being lost and forgetting about God. With friends, with our own eyes and ears, we are reminded of God's love for us. His love. And that all we do is by faith. So let us see the good in people, rely on God and trust in what tools He has given us: Eyes to see His world, ears to hear His Word and our tongue to let Him speak for us.

God Bless You
