REFLECTION

He makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.

A few days ago, someone I love said to me, " I pray to God but He does not listen." I did not pursue conversing with him; instead I proceeded to convince him to turn his life to Christ. This approach has rarely worked for me. It has born little fruit for me. Yet I go back and repeat the same mistakes over and over.

To communicate we need to hear and speak. God wants us to hear His gentle voice but do we hear when He speaks? Do we hear others?

He wants us to speak about God to others and to let people know of His love for us. Do we have a silver tongue?

Many witnessed Jesus healing the deaf man with a speech impediment. We too are to reveal God to others. On our own we cannot speak nor hear the Word of God. But with His grace and our cooperation we can allow God to speak through us so that others can hear.

Allelluia, Alleluia

Open our hearts, O Lord,

to listen to the words of your Son

Alleluia, Alleluia

God Bless You
