"This is my commandment: love one another as I love you."
REFLECTION
We have an inate desire to be loved. And we have a Father who wants us to be a member of His family and to belong to Him. Imagine God chose us before we were born. Imagine His love.
We don't see God but we see Him in Jesus. We see His love. In 1 Corinthians 13 we are told by St Paul:
Love is patient. Love is kind. It is not jealous, not pompous.
It is not rude. It does not seek its own interests.
It is not quick tempered. It does not brood over injury
It does not rejoice over wrongdoing.
But rejoices with the truth.
It bears all things. Believes all things.
Hopes all things. Endures all things.
Jesus shows us how to love. He carried it out one step further. He laid down His life for us. He calls us friends.
PAPA prays for priests. We support the priests and pray that their love for God grows. Our priests receive an intimate call from God and he hands over his life to God and becomes a gift of self to the Church. That is love!! Daily pray for them.
