Gospel

his hour had not yet come

REFLECTION

"his hour had not yet come"

"His hour had not yet come." Jesus, God incarnate, came from heaven, to suffer at the hands of men and die on the Cross. His purpose was to give His life in atonement for our sins. He certainly was eloquent in his preaching, compassionate and merciful to many. Yet they did not understand who He was.

The wicked hated him, they were blinded to Him. "Blessed, indeed, is the one who has not followed the counsel of the wicked but delights in the law of the Lord." (Psalm 1:1-3)

The disposition of the crowd held no place for His Word. Perfect humility, patience and obedience to the Father's Will was the order Jesus was to follow toward the Cross.

God has perfect timing: never early, never late. He is never in a hurry, and always on time. When we want to speed up our affairs, or don't have the patience or our anxiety over our plight is overwhelming, remember, God is in control. He hears and answers us. Ask the Holy Spirit for the grace to know and recognize God's plan for our lives. Surrender and render to Him, on His timing, for His greater glory.

Waiting is hard but it is worth it. Thank you, Jesus, for your love.

God Bless You.
