A Reading from 1 Cor 11:23-26

Brothers and sisters:

I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you,

that the Lord Jesus, on the night he was handed over,

took bread, and, after he had given thanks,

broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you.

Do this in remembrance of me.”

In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying,

“This cup is the new covenant in my blood.

Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup,

you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes.

REFLECTION

"For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup,

you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes."

The Sacred Triduum is here. The highest point of our liturgical year has started: Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter!

How wonderful that these holy days start with the institution of the Eucharist and the Priesthood! It was very thoughtful of Our Lord to leave with us the priests, who in turn feed us His Body and His Blood.

Many things are about to happen to Our Lord and to us in the next few days. Let's make sure we setup time apart to meditate in His Passion, Death, and Resurrection by participating in the Church's services. We could also accompany Our Lord in Adoration after Thursday Mass, etc.

St. Alphonsus, our Patron, also wrote very thoughtful meditations to read for the Sacred Triduum.

We can also meditate on the Way of the Cross by St. Alphonsus, or by St. Josemaria. As well as the Litany of the Holy Cross. And of course the PAPA Prayer for Priests.

Wishing everybody a very holy and fruitful Holy Days.

God bless all y'all!
