MEEK AND HUMBLE , WEDNESDAY JUNE 17, 2026

Meek

"Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves."

(Matt.11:29)

Jesus invites us to trade our yoke for His; wait, a 'yoke', like a beast of burden - yes, like it or not we all have one; our human existence in this life demands it, we labor each day to pull our load in one form or another. And by interacting with one another we are bound to get hurt, or hurt someone else with our words or deeds - we'll even hurt Jesus. He says he is meek and humble; being meek means: enduring (bearing) harm or injury with patience and without resentment which means that if He's willing to put up with our abuse and offenses, He will help us to do the same with others, thus, lightening our painful load as we become more like Him (more Christ-like) and less like our old nature, right?
