Jesus said to his disciples: “I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before others the Son of Man will acknowledge before the angels of God. But whoever denies me before others will be denied before the angels of God.
“Everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but the one who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. When they take you before synagogues and before rulers and authorities, do not worry about how or what your defense will be or about what you are to say. For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that moment what you should say.”
REFLECTION
"For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that moment what you should say.”
Some rely a lot on their own abilities and their God given talents. It is easy to be fooled that we are in control, to the point that one can be so self sufficient, that we might just give a "nod" to God and continue on with life. Big mistake, as we should always put first God and we should always rely on His guidance and believe His promises.
Best teachers of this complete trust are people who the world does not notice. They may not have any physical gifts or talents that we might envy, but when they speak of God, their love for Jesus and His Mother, it is as if the Holy Spirit has taken over and that we are present in His Holy presence. Not only are they a witness to God but they don't get wordy, and their simple words of love and complete trust are testimony to all.
Saints John de Brébeuf, Isacc Jogues and companions were great examples of life, how they treated the Indians and each other. Example of being a good Christian is the best way to lead others to God. The Holy Spirit will teach you at the moment what you should say.
