He soon would die for her redemption. The chance encounter of the adulteress with the Lord, opened up for her the rewards of His grace and a conviction of not of her sin but of how much she is loved. With love, pity and mercy her sin was forgiven and she was given a new life.
He saved her in His merciful love. Her foes were foiled, confused and confounded at what He wrote. Through His merciful justice her enemies turned away as their hypocrisy was there for all to see.
Of course she was caught in the act of sin by men who knew where to find her. Of course she was humiliated but it was not so much she whom the men wanted to punish as it was to test the mercy and compassion of Christ versus the law.
The wicked men were ensnared by their own evil acts and deeds.
Thank you, Jesus, for your redemptive sacrifice and for being our advocate. Thank you for restoring our dignity. May we be inspired by your love and guided by your example in our deeds.
