"When will I come to the end of my pilgrimage and enter the Presence of the Lord?"
In today's morning prayer, a verse caught my eye: "When will I come to the end of my pilgrimage and enter the Presence of the Lord?" How I yearn to be with God, but I have so many times taken the wrong road to His Kingdom. I am not at all surprised that as much as I look down on the Pharisees, I can be one of them.
At times, I want to take a wider road especially when it is costly to stay on the narrow one, when what I am asked to do fights my personality, my temperament, my character. Instead of peace I get angry, am resentful and spiteful. Sometimes I opt for the noise because it reminds me of my youth.
Has my life changed? My disposition? Am I saying "yes" more times than before to Him? Yes, of course! My guide is the compassionate and merciful Jesus and I need to keep Him in my heart, listen, accept, serve, forgive, smile and live His Word, hopefully meeting Him at my destination--Heaven.
Happy Labor Day
God Bless You

Thank you Olivia. That line in the morning prayer also made me pause and reflect. My thoughts were, wow, there really is an end to this pilgrimage of life, and then I thought, I should treat my life more like a pilgrimage. God bless you.
