Today is the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and tomorrow the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Why as Catholics we honor part of their bodies? what is the significance? We also honor the Holy Face of Jesus, His wounds, His blood... Why is His Heart celebrated with a Solemnity?
His Sacred Heart holds all the love and compassion He feels for humanity. And the Immaculate Heart of Mary the love for God and mankind and well as her virtues and interior life.
Let us celebrate today and tomorrow attending Mass if possible, and praying the Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart, and the Holy Rosary, specially for our priests.
