Gertrude Peacock was devoted to God, her Catholic Faith, her lay-Carmelite community and PAPA. She ardently studied her faith and praised God by sharing her talents through Bible study, grief support group and many other activities in her church, St Faustina Catholic Church in Katy, Texas. What a prayer warrior she was!

In 2017 Gertrude or "Trudy" was one of the very first PAPA missionaries, daily praying for priests and introducing them to the PAPA apostolate. Gertrude made Fr. Raymond Akeriwe, Capt. U.S. Army, Ft. Hood, one of the first PAPA priests. She handed out PAPA prayer cards, notably after Mass at Holy Family Church, attended PAPA retreats and conferences as long as she was able, supported PAPA Joe through donations.

In a Lenten Retreat, she heard the quote attributed to St. Ignatius of Loyola, "I came from God; I belong to God; I am destined to return to God.” It became the supreme guiding light for her life.

Those were the last words she heard in this life before she died: 3:00 am on the dot, on Priesthood Sunday September 28, 2025, at the hour of the Resurrection of Jesus, and right on time.
