If you can please correct my confusion as to the timing of confession for Divine Mercy Sunday.
To receive all the benefits of Divine Mercy Sunday, can we go to confession a week before or one week after Divine Mercy?

Here is an Universal rule of thumb when it comes to receiving Plenary Indulgence:
Either you confess your sins 8 days before the Indulgence Benediction
Or you confess 8 days after.
But no longer than 8 days.
Remember also
(1) to pray for the Intention of the Pope
(2) Pray one Our Father
(3) Say the Apostles' Creed
