I have come to believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God,
the one who is coming into the world."
REFLECTION
Jesus is our destination--our one and only goal. The earthly journey can be treacherous, sorrowful, joyful or with no major problems. The longing to be with Christ compels us to travel --praying, repenting, and doing God's will, not looking back but always forward. He came to show us the way. Along the way He visited with His close friends Mary, Martha and Lazarus. There He rested, was served and taught them about God.
Daily Jesus invites us to meet Him, eat of His Body and be transformed in Him. How fortunate for us who receive Christ. How can we help our fellow travellers find their destination before the end of their pilgrimage? Our goal is for ourselves and as many as we can help become sons of God and find eternal respite in His Kingdom.
How do we find Jesus?
In Matthew 25:40, the Lord says, "Whatever you have done to the least of my brothers, you did to me." So lets welcome all: feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, visit the imprisoned, shelter the homeless, visit the sick, and bury the dead.
And one day we can be heard saying, ""Yes, Lord, I have come to believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, the one who is coming into the world."
