and sowed weeds all through the wheat, and then went off.
When the crop grew and bore fruit, the weeds appeared as well.
The slaves of the householder came to him and said,
'Master, did you not sow good seed in your field?
Where have the weeds come from?'
He answered, 'An enemy has done this.'
His slaves said to him, 'Do you want us to go and pull them up?'
He replied, 'No, if you pull up the weeds
you might uproot the wheat along with them.
Let them grow together until harvest;
then at harvest time I will say to the harvesters,
"First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles for burning;
but gather the wheat into my barn."'"
REFLECTION
'An enemy has done this.'
President Harry Truman ordered the United States drop atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan on August 6 and 9, 1945 respectively, as part of an effort to end World War II. The bombings killed between 129,000 and 226,000 people, mostly civilians, many catholics. The enemy started the war, many suffered, many died. The Holocaust was the deliberate murder of 6 million European Jews and 5 million prisoners of war.
After the war, in 1949, President Harry Truman led the United States through the early years of the Cold War. He announced in January 5, 1949, the Fair Deal that every American has a right to expect from our government a fair deal: expanded public housing, increased aid to education, a higher minimum wage, federal protection for civil rights, and national health insurance.
Good came after World War II through so much evil. We will always have trials and tribulations, hate of man. The good live among the weeds of evil and God will separate at the end. Continue the battle between good and evil . Patiently wait for your reward.
Always remember and therefore trust, that God keeps His word: He will bundle the weeds for burning and He will gather His wheat into His barn.
