Silence and prayer are the lifeblood of our relationship with God. We want to pray; the spirit indeed is willing, but, the flesh is weak. Jesus - true God, true Man - was tired and exhausted, but knew and expressed the urgency to pray, three times, before the passion began, however the Apostles failed to do so and were subsequently left unprepared. It was too late!
(Matthew 26: 38-45)
His words hauntingly speak to us too! “Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.”
We must, we must, we must, overcome our the weakness of our flesh to pray, with ‘faith’.
"…when the Son of man comes, will he find faith on earth?" (Lk. 18: 7-8)
