But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments

will be called greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

REFLECTION

Local and international news brings us up to date on our cell phones. Violent crimes, beatings, beheadings, kidnapping, tortures, cancel culture, woke culture, transgenders participating in beauty pageants, abortions, retributions, sex trafficking, drug cartels are but a few of "news" that flood my cell phone.

Will the ideal life be only when we reach heaven? Faithfulness, joy of the Lord, Will of the Lord, the teachings of the Lord, the examples of the saints, the beatitudes, the Rules for Holy Living found in Colossians 3:1-19. Is this an unattainable goal?

Why would Jesus show us His Kingdom if it was not meant to be lived now? We are to build His Kingdom now, introducing one another to His love.

The more we try to live out the words of Jesus, the more we empty ourselves of foolish habits; the more His Spirit will fill us with His grace.

It is not something we accomplish on our own. It is an active decision to surrender all to Him. Our brain should be open to His Will, our heart ready to be guided and our disposition to live the life of a saint should never leave us.

Be awake, alert, aware of the world we live in. Follow the one we know loves us. Follow Jesus.

God Bless You
