Have you searched for something either because you lost it, many said how good it was and so you wanted it or your project or work called for something unusual or rare?
The Magi searched, got lost, and recovered ground. Excitement was present when they saw the Bright Star. They found the Baby Jesus. The Glory of the Lord shone on Jerusalem, the World and the Magi. They brought gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. They were not afraid of His poverty nor the stable.
Unlike the Magi, we don't have to look too far, search or even get lost to find Jesus. He is always present in our lives but physically present in Mass and waits and calls us in the Holy Tabernacle.
We are promised to be radiant at what we see and our hearts will throb and overflow with His love and graces.
Some of us might not have treasures and extravagant gifts to give Him. He needs no gifts but our love and a home for Him to live in.
May Mary beckon us closer to her Son. We want to see Him, she wants us to see Him. In fact it is He who has gifts to give us-His everlasting love. Through this love He changes us, transforms us, heals us and cleans us of the dirt of gossip, whining, disobedience, pride, sloth, envy, greed, lust, wrath, gluttony, and complaining.
Surrender our lowly humanity to Him, and He will give us His Divine nature.
