St Francis de Sales said, "Perfection consists in loving God with our whole heart." Do we show this in our actions?
God loved us before we existed. He created heaven and the beautiful earth for us. Through love and kindness He draws us closer to Him. When sin took His love and death came into play, God gave His only begotten Son to redeem, ransom and make atonement for us. We were reinstated as His children, heirs to His kingdom.
Do we live our lives in gratitude to God? St Paul admonished the Corinthians that they put up with false teachings and preachings, receiving different spirits and gospels.
This month we celebrate the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The world has ambushed this Solemnity into a month of celebrating immoral, debasing and blasphemous acts, desecrating Jesus on the Cross and His Mother Mary.
This past week many peacefully marched to the baseball field refusing no more to be silenced.
We learn from Jesus. He is the Truth. We learn from the saints, especially St John Fisher and Thomas More, who were beheaded because of their faith, refusing to allow King Henry VIII's takeover of the Church.
Pray the Our Father in reparation for the insults to Jesus as well as His Mother. Time to speak up and refuse to remain silent. With prayer, love, patience and hope speak and defend the Truth.
