Gospel
Jesus said to his disciples: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,' will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.
“Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. But it did not collapse; it had been set solidly on rock. And everyone who listens to these words of mine but does not act on them will be like a fool who built his house on sand. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. And it collapsed and was completely ruined.”
REFLECTION
The rain fell
Attending classes, we listen and act on what we learned. When corrected, even if we have an urge to defend ourselves, we remain silent and in humility accept the chastisement, correction, recommendation and bury our pride. We do all this because we want to be like Christ in every way, knowing the Truth before us, of who we truly are before Him. In choosing to follow the Father's will, we begin to learn to walk in the shoes of humility and obedience.
We won't collapse if we follow these rules:
There is never a bad time to be kind.
Cherish everyday, every moment, every drop of rain...every friend.
It costs nothing to wish someone well.
Allow yourself to be surprised with happiness, friendship and kindness.
Be open to the journey.
Strive to understand what is meant not only what is said.
Allow charitable works to be part of your life.
Obedience is the key that opens the door to heaven. Enter into His rhythm, allow Him to work in us.
God Bless You.
