A reading from Jas 2:14-17

What good is it, my brothers and sisters,

if someone says he has faith but does not have works?

Can that faith save him?

If a brother or sister has nothing to wear

and has no food for the day,

and one of you says to them,

"Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well,"

but you do not give them the necessities of the body,

what good is it?

So also faith of itself,

if it does not have works, is dead.

REFLECTION

"What good is it, my brothers and sisters,

if someone says he has faith but does not have works?"

Our mission as PAPA members is to pray, daily for priests.

We plead to God Our Father so they are saints. We pray for His faithful ones, and for his unfaithful ones. For the young as well as the old. For the sick, and for the souls of priests in purgatory.

And after praying, what do we do?

One of our committees is called PAPA Joe.

PAPA Joe is the arm of PAPA that identifies those who are hungry and in need, especially those in Venezuela. Through some channels we are able to send non-perishable food, especially formula for the children that are literally starving and dying in this country.

How many of those boys will eventually become priests?

The birth of the child Jesus is almost upon us. Throughout the year we all have worked in one way or another to make room at the inn in our hearts.

Let's joyfully await for Christ-Mass! Let's sing with the Angels and cheer with the shepherds. And let's pray for all the children of the world to get to know and love the child Jesus just like all the saints in Heavens do.

And let's pray the PAPA Prayer for vocations, so if any of these children are called by God to the priestly or religious life, they say YES! to His call.

PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS

My Lord and my God Jesus, * I thank you for loving me. * In Baptism you called me by name to live as your child. *Help all your people to know their call in life. * For your greater glory, * teach us to pray * and raise up for us generous leaders to serve as priests, * deacons * sisters, * and brothers. Amen.

Merry Christ-Mass y'all!

God bless you!
