THURSDAY OF THE FOURTH WEEK OF EASTER MAY 12, 2022

A reading from the holy Gospel Jn 13:16-20

When Jesus had washed the disciples’ feet, he said to them: “Amen, amen, I say to you, no slave is greater than his master nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him. If you understand this, blessed are you if you do it. I am not speaking of all of you. I know those whom I have chosen. But so that the Scripture might be fulfilled, The one who ate my food has raised his heel against me. From now on I am telling you before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe that I AM. Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.”

REFLECTION

From now on I am telling you before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe that I AM.

We know Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He has not been shy about sharing this good news. Today we are taken back to when we are reminded that we will always be in His presence as He with us. He is I AM.

How many ways do we know this?

Are we so smart that we figured out on our own that Jesus is I AM and the Good Shepherd? No, God chose us first. He gave us the graces and we chose to believe.

When we hear a false prophet do we know the voice of Jesus to know Him from others? And how do we know—study His words and works —what a unique way for PAPA as our spiritual advisor, Father Michael, offers His time and knowledge during FACEZBS— zoom Bible study face to face. Join us on Wednesday.

Do we know Jesus as He knows us? How strong is our love ?

Do we trust the Lord to follow Him wherever He sends us?

Do we believe His promise of eternal life and that we will never perish?

Remember no one can take us away from God the Father or Jesus His Son unless we choose to leave.

”Behold I am with you always, even to the end of the age, Alleluia”

(Communion Antiphon)

God bless you.
