Jesus is always able to save those who approach God through him,
since he lives forever to make intercession for them.
In Isaiah 42:16 we are told " I, God will lead the blind on their own journey by paths unknown. I will guide them. I will turn darkness into light before them and make crooked ways straight. These things I do for them and I will not forsake them."
When someone is sick or dying, it is very consoling when you sit by them: keeping them company and tending to their needs.
When you have physical or mental problems, understanding and caring are needed: a comforting strong hand to hold you when unsteady, someone to listen and help you in your daily strife with life's struggles. Some of us live in the hidden shadows of low self esteem, anxieties and false beliefs. We need God, but we are unaware or unable to find Him.
Jesus, the High Priest, who sits at the right hand of the Throne of the Majesty in heaven is ALWAYS able to save those who approach God through Him. He lives forever to make intercession for us.
Believe what the prophets said of Him. Believe in what Jesus did, said and why He died for us. Believe in His Presence awaiting us in the Holy Eucharist.
He comes as a guest. He comes to live in our poor homes and yet we forget. We forget that we have Him, that He promises to be with us 'til the end of time, that He loves us and what He has done, and continues to do for us. Why do we forget?! We might not be well catechized, not well versed in Scripture, expect a different kind of healing or the distractions of the world are too much.
As we fill our emotional and physical needs, let us fill our spiritual needs with praises, songs of joy, love, good deeds all for the glory of God. Appreciate the goodness of the Lord, appreciate His kindness. Let us love, adore and please Him, daily breathing in Jesus and saying, "I am here, Lord. I give myself to you". May we please God by doing His Will and be forever grateful for His goodness.
Remember, Jesus cannot reject you. He is the refuge of sinners and the hope of our Salvation. Become perfected in the love of God.
