"We must obey God rather than men."

REFLECTION

God expects us to be heroic in little things--from daily duties to bigger. We need to break out of our shell, and be an active voice for our beliefs, for others and for what is right.

Protest Abortion: The arms of mothers are made for tenderness and caresses. Babies should be able to sleep with complete confidence that they are loved.

Defend Freedom: Freedom of speech and freedom of religion are guaranteed by the constitution.

Demand Morality: Should children be exposed to drag queens at the library? Can a man identify as a woman and compete in their sports? Or compete and actually win a beauty contest? No, to child mutilation. No to human trafficking. Speak up!!

God has given us the Ten Commandments. He spent three years showing us how to live. He showed us how much He loves us as He hung on the Tree.

The apostles preached in spite of the High Priest forbidding them. Just where did they get their courage? The Holy Spirit gave them the courage to preach and speak up, to be willing to suffer an injustice than to commit one. A well formed conscience allows us to be law abiding but at the same time we need to be ready to take a stand against wrong and sin.

Do we have the same fortitude and conviction as the apostles? Go out and make a difference in this topsy turvy world we live in. Choose to live in courage rather than in a climate of fear and indifference. Write letters, meet with authorities and spend time with the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament for the many graces He will give you and the marvels He works.

“Prayer is, beyond doubt, the most powerful weapon the Lord gives us to conquer evil … but we must really put ourselves into the prayer, it is not enough just to say the words, it must come from the heart. And also prayer needs to be continuous, we must pray no matter what kind of situation we find ourselves in: the warfare we are engaged in is ongoing, so our prayer must be on-going also.” – St. Alphonsus

Be prepared to fight. Obey God than man.

God Bless You
