Gospel

"Courage child, your sins are forgiven."

REFLECTION

It is impossible to adore and worship God in a better way than in the Mass. Priests are needed for Mass and therefore we pray for vocations and for priests to be holy men.

We pray for our priests, so we can approach and ask God for all our needs and wants at Holy Mass.

One of the consequences of sin is paralysis of love, actions, deeds, change of heart, growth and the award of heaven. Confession and Mass are the cure for this paralysis. We need priests so that we can have our sins forgiven and receive the Body and Blood of Our Lord.

Abraham trusted God, the friends of the paralytic had fervor and perseverance in helping their friend. Adoration, reparation and thanksgiving are the infallible effects of the sacrifice of the Mass. It is Jesus, God Himself, who offers and is offered. He is the priest and the victim.

PAPA prays for priest. It is the great honor for priests to lend Christ their voices and hands in the Eucharist. God, Himself, chooses the priest. We take part in this sacrifice of Jesus who intercedes for man, offering up Himself for us.

Pray for the right disposition at Mass as we are in the presence of God. Show up early to recollect ourselves. Be attentive focusing only on what is happening at the altar and not looking here and there at every sound heard. Be considerate and if with a crying child, go to the cry room so as not to disturb. Our treasure is there daily so that all our needs can be met.

St John Vianney, Cure of Ars, our PAPA patron saint, said, "Are you there, with the same disposition as Our Lady in Calvary, realizing you are in the presence of God Himself and are present at the enactment of that same very sacrifice in Calvary?"

God Bless You
