Responsorial Psalm 71:1-2, 3-4A, 5AB-6AB, 15 and 17
In you, LORD, I take refuge;
let me never be put to shame.
In your justice rescue and deliver me;
listen to me and save me!
Be my rock of refuge,
my stronghold to give me safety;
for you are my rock and fortress.
My God, rescue me from the hand of the wicked,
from the clutches of the evil and violent.
You are my hope, Lord;
my trust, GOD, from my youth.
On you I have depended since birth;
from my mother’s womb you are my strength;
my hope in you never wavers.
My mouth shall proclaim your just deeds,
day after day your acts of deliverance,
though I cannot number them all.
God, you have taught me from my youth;
to this day I proclaim your wondrous deeds.
REFLECTION: "In you, LORD, I take refuge; let me never be put to shame."
It's been about a month since we started a lock down because of the coronavirus pandemic.
And yes, a little cabin fever might have started to happen.
Some people have started to get depressed, to heavily drink, maybe even started to develop some kind of internet addiction. We are staying at home, with the same people day after day. Or we are alone in our homes, tasting a deep solitude.
There is no easy road ahead, since the pandemic curve has not peaked yet. But God, in His mercy, has given us these, and many other tools to show us that He is our refuge. And we can completely trust in Him. He has not left us alone. He even gave us friends for the road: the PAPA family.
In this family, we share our thoughts, hopes and prayers via this website, Viber chat groups, emails, texts, etc: The PAPA Prayer that we say daily, and several times a day for our priests. The joyous blessings that Fr. Michael shares with us every day. The Daily Scripture Reflections, written by several of our members. And even a Saintly Quote to inspire and help us reflect in the importance of the priesthood from the point of view of the saints.
Let's put fully our trust in Him. And give Him thanks for all His blessings for us. And bless all you meet today as well.
God bless y'all!
