Someone told him, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside,
asking to speak with you.”
But he said in reply to the one who told him,
“Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”
And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said,
“Here are my mother and my brothers.
For whoever does the will of my heavenly Father
is my brother, and sister, and mother.”
REFLECTION
“Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”
Is prayer enough? or is it the beginning?
Just yesterday in the Gospel we heard about Mary and Martha. And how Jesus told Martha that "...Mary has chosen the better part..." (Lk 10:42)
We still need the "other part". Action is also part of being a Christian.
At PAPA we help those in need via PAPA Joe. We formed this committee not only to pray for the needing people but also to do charity services by giving food or basic needs to our brothers and sisters living in dire poverty.
We are constantly receiving donations to pack boxes and send them out to Venezuela.
Depending on the amount of donations received and the amount of money required for shipping the boxes, we try to ship boxes at least once a month.
