MASS READINGS:

Reading 2

Brothers and sisters: Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Keep on doing what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me. Then the God of peace will be with you.

REFLECTION

We think as humans. We do not possess the capacity to think like God because He is God, and we are not. When/if we have been lucky to experience God’s peace, it surpasses all our understanding in any way we can ever hope to comprehend it. When/if we are lucky to understand God’s peace, it guards our hearts and minds and leads us to Christ Jesus. When we understand and accept that Jesus is love, that Jesus is wisdom, and that Jesus is peace, we become blessed and give ourselves up to be in the moment where Christ’s love and peace enfold us. He protects our hearts and minds. Jesus is truth, honor and honorable, just, pure, lovely, gracious, and excellent. We are not worthy to praise Him and not worthy to adore Him, but He and God allow us through the graces they confer on us. We have to keep praising, keep adoring, and keep honoring Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit so that the peace that surpasses all understanding will be ours and continue to be ours.
