"Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh

and lead the children of Israel out of Egypt?"

He answered, "I will be with you;"

REFLECTION

Venerable Fulton J Sheen said, "It is easy to find truth, though it is hard to face it, and harder still to follow it." There are some people who find themselves the "de facto" leader or spokesman of a club, organization, neighborhood HOA or worse the one to answer the question posed by the teacher. It is not really a job we wanted but, somehow, it is now our responsibility or job description.

Moses was hiding from the Egyptian authorities, tending his father in law's flock. He was incognito. The angel of the Lord appeared to him in fire flaming out of the bush. Out of curiosity he approached the bush and, therefore, spoke with God.

It was then that God commissioned Moses to be the leader of the Israelites.

And he responded as we do, "Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh (any difficulty in life) and lead the children of Israel ( kindred spirits, family, friends, enemies) out of Egypt (an oppressing situation, grim news, sickness, troubles)? We should pick up the slack where needed, visit the lonely, evangelize though tired, help a neighbor, buy groceries, trips to the doctors, feed the homeless, etc. We do what is needed encouraged by His promise of " I will be with you".

So where needed, when able, even if it was not in our plans, do all that He calls us to do, praise and worship Him as we do His work.

God Bless You
