REFLECTION

How do people find strength and endurance during hard times? Whether it be unexpected deaths, illness, prodigal children, unkind and caring strangers, family or friends, homelessness or anything that upsets our day, where do we find our strength?

God who gave all to His Son and gave His Son to us would never refuse us anything that is for good. Trusting in God has made us rich in grace, spiritual strength, perseverance and resilience holding fast to our faith.

Death and the consequences of sin are always reminders of our weaknesses and flaws. Left to our own resources we might be unable to stand up to anti catholic dialogue, woke culture, demands of society and peer pressure.

Knowing God we can love and trust as we have witnessed and lived His love and mercy. His consolation gives us the strength to carry on. God gives us His abundant grace in any situation we are in. Ask for it and wait.... Do not be impatient or ungrateful. "Whatever you shall ask the Father in My Name, that will I do." (John 14:13)

Do we worry that we don't worry about a loved one? Do we feel guilty when we are happy and joyful, while others in the same situation are not? God is in control --Always-- and allows us the grace of discernment and knowledge, faith and trust in Him. In PAPAmio.org there are many prayers, devotions and novenas. My favorite go to one is the Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It sums up all--Let's consecrate our will, thoughts, actions, sufferings and life itself to God who has proved His love for us. Are we ready to prove our love for Him?

"Blessed are they who have kept the Word with a generous heart and yield a harvest through perseverance." (Gospel Antiphon: Luke 8:15).

God has plans for you and me. Big Plans!! Do you see God's plan at work in your life? How has God rescued and blessed you?
