Jesus said to his disciples: "I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now. But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth. He will not speak on his own, but he will speak what he hears, and will declare to you the things that are coming. He will glorify me, because he will take from what is mine and declare it to you. Everything that the Father has is mine; for this reason I told you that he will take from what is mine and declare it to you."
REFLECTION
"he will guide you to all truth".
The Holy Spirit is our advocate and He always counteracts the works of Satan. He will pick up where Jesus left off and will guide us to the Truth. The Catechism of the Catholic Church #2465, "attests that God is the source of all truth. His Word is truth. His law is truth. His faithfulness endures in all generations. Since God is "true", the members of His people are called to live in the truth." He won't leave us alone, in spite of our not understanding or being overwhelmed, but most importantly so that we don't fall into the trap of the world, the devil or the flesh.
Satan will not give up on us either but it is to rebel against God if one of His loved ones is lost. He wants to destroy us through deception, confusion, sinfulness, lying, corruption, distortion, bullying, taunting and the bait set up by the world.
Every morning, we recite the prayer to the Holy Spirit written by St Augustine. We invite the Holy Spirit into our hearts and ask Him to do battle with us, asking for guidance, strength, wisdom and enlightenment. This prayer is found on our papamio.org website. Come Holy Spirit
