Today’s Reflection

The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,

Creator of Heaven and earth,

and in Jesus Christ, His only Son,

our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died and was buried.

He descended into hell...

Today let us slowly and prayerfully recite the Apostles’ Creed, especially the lines listed above in praise and thanksgiving for the events that took place prior to and on Holy Saturday.

The Creeds express the tenets of our Catholic faith.  Whenever we have difficulty explaining our Catholic  beliefs, all we need do is to simply recall the Nicene or Apostles’ Creed.
