FRIDAY OF THE THIRTY-THIRD WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME, NOVEMBER 19, 2021

A reading from the holy Gospel according to Lk 19:45-48

Jesus entered the temple area and proceeded to drive out those who were selling things, saying to them, It is written, My house shall be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves. And every day he was teaching in the temple area. The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people, meanwhile, were seeking to put him to death, but they could find no way to accomplish their purpose because all the people were hanging on his words.

REFLECTION

It is written, My house shall be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves.

Our bodies are temples of the Lord. Do we protect the temple from insulting God, allowing worldly things to take over? Do we go to a game instead of going to Mass on Sunday, do we see pornography, do we think of ourselves first before putting someone before us?

Does God feel welcomed and at home?

FACE ZBS is a golden opportunity for us to hear the very words of Jesus to His disciples and His followers? Why was Jesus upset? Where was He going? What happened before Jesus went to the temple? What were the religious leaders doing and allowing to happen? Why was it wrong?

These are many of the questions asked and answered when a theologian leads the pilgrimage into the Bible, the Word of God. It is not an opinion, conjecture but guidance in knowing Our Lord better. Join us every Wednesday for FACE ZBS or Zoom Bible study. Once you attend you will be able to better understand the Word but most importantly, any misconceptions you may have formed will be corrected by the priest.

When all is said and done, it is your relationship with God that is the most important as we journey from our homes to heaven. Be nourished and be ready to be spellbound.

Contact us if you are interested in attending.

God Bless You
