REFLECTION
Today we celebrate the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mary was always with God. And as His perfect mother she is able to be with us, especially the priests.
It is a Catholic devotion to her purity noted in the dogma of the Immaculate Heart in 1854. She is usually depicted with a sword in reference to Simeon's prophecy of "a sword will pierce your own soul, too."
She is immaculate--free of sin. Trusting and obeying God she always followed His Will. And in caring for Jesus she, however, could not find Him. And when she did she asked, “Son, why have you done this to us? Your father and I have been looking for you with great anxiety.”
And she kept all things in her heart.
Best is that we know that she will help us look for Jesus and find Him. She will help us right ourselves with God, help us sort out what we have done, what we need in our journey to heaven and what definitely needs to be thrown away.
Quiet, obedient, trusting and prayerful, she is our perfect example. Don't wait to ask Our Mother Mary to help out. She is the Mother of God, Mother of all Christians, and Mother of the Church. She is our mother.
And because she is all and more, we are asked to pray for reparations of the blasphemies and mockeries endured by our Lady and her Son. We are asked to pray the following Litany for Our PAPA Patroness.
