Reading 1

REFLECTION

"For in the image of God has man been made."

The floor was sectioned off. Far right was for agree. The center was neutral. The far left was disagree. We were asked to respond to the statement, "The diagnosis ruined your plans for your child" by picking a section.

I am still contemplating the statement. Was I one of the few who disagreed? I sit here in Adoration, reading my "Visits to the Blessed Sacrament" by St Alphonsus Liguori, PAPA patron saint. I am aware that He loves us all, He dwells and rests in us and we in Him.

Will they remain in His presence, will they think of Him, are they aware He loves them? Even Christ asked, "Who do people say that I am." (Mark 8:27)

He suffered greatly, was rejected and killed.

Who am I to fret about my plans? I know He loves them, has a purpose for all, seeks and embraces us. In the darkness of lonely voices, God holds us in His arms.

My hope is in the perfect love, perfect image of God in every man. Just as Peter could not accept initially the mission of Christ, may we accept the Providence and Prudence of His Divine Will.

We need help and therefore we pray to trust God in all our struggles.

God bless you
